Beatley Thingy
Hmm, what's this then?
From the front...
From the side...
We've been through the beatle books and can't work out what exactly it is. Found it in the garden, it's lime green and black, so very striking, not very large, maybe 8-10mm long. With a white/black edging to it.
Some sort of shieldbug?
Need to work out if it's a goodie or a baddie, from a gardener's perspective.

Yeah, it's certainly a pretty little bug.
Must discover it's hidden identity though.
BTW, I'm not sure that being from the US means you can't identify bugs. Although I wouldn't know. ;)

It does look a bit like a shield bug...
There was something on the radio a while ago about a new shield bug immigrant that is a Bad Thing, they're quite a lot bigger than the native ones I think, who are Good Things.
That one's cute. I say Good Thing :)

You don't kill creepy crawlies Dhruv!! And yes it went back where it came from...
Gardeners are always killing Bad Thing(TM) bugs, but I don't kill anything. I can't tell what type of bug it is, but shieldbug looks about right. I think it's going to go down as a Good Thing because it's pretty and greeny black. :)
